What is a mala?
Mala beads are a string of 108 beads + a guru bead or tassel; traditionally used in mantras and meditation. Some people use them in conjunction with essential oils. I believe that they are also a beautiful reminder of our daily intentions. A traditional mala has a knot tied in between each bead that adds a beautiful personal touch. I often use the mala for a simple mantra repitition. The string of beads helps you keep count so you can hold the focus on your mantra as you move the beads through your fingers one at a time.
Malas can be made from gemstones, wood or seeds that match the intention of your daily practice, whatever it may be <3 I choose to use malas in my yoga practice and place them in a spot at home where they can been seen and used as a reminder of my intention or affirmations.
Handmade Malas by me <3
No dyes are used in these beads. They are made with good vibes and ALOT of knots tied with my fingers. Each bead is chosen with a specific goal in mind, a truth, as the semi-precious stones all carry their own healing properties. I love weaving these little stories together when my heart is the happiest and my wish is for them to assist you on your journey of growth throughout life.
