Mala workshop!

Intentional beginnings (Sold out)

A Women’s Yoga Retreat

Friday, January 11th - Sunday, January 13th - 2019

A moment to slow down and consciously step into the new year with a group of radical beings seeking the same thing. There will be yoga classes to relax, uplift and inspire the steps forward. Woven throughout the weekend each person will get to create a mala necklace that is filled with precious stones to support your intention for the year. Together we will cheer each other on in embracing the changes we have been seeking to make in our own lives.

Concious movement and restoration for the soul in the depths of winter.

Concious movement and restoration for the soul in the depths of winter.

The short and sweet:

This cozy coastal weekend getaway is a place for us women to gather together and inspire one another. The 4 yoga classes with Chantal will be filled with creative movement in the mornings and peaceful restorative poses in the evenings. Woven throughout the weekend we will be creating a Japa Mala (a mala necklace used for mantras or breath counting) that you will get to design based upon your personal intention for the year. <3 All rooms are shared because nothing is more fun than bonding with buddies who share a similar passion for living intentionally! But you’ll also have space for personal time and restoration on the riverside or the ocean-side because that is important too.

To put it simply, I am so excited to share weekend of very intentional camaraderie, movement, and inspiration in the heart of winter!

Yoga Retreat

Our Yoga Practice

Friday evening we will find space on our mats for a short 45min restorative yoga class centered around finding and supporting your intention for the new year. Creating space for ourselves. (Then we begin malas!)

Saturday morning is a 90min heat building class to warm us up in the depths of winter so that we can inspire and fuel our next steps forward! This class will be a powerful hatha flow with pose variations suitable for each individual practice.

Saturday evening will be a 45min restorative class filled with deep relaxation and Sunday morning will be another 90min Hatha Flow practice.

The Retreat Space

We are tucked away along the river just 15mins from Manzanita (and the beach!). This cozy, beautifully remodeled and eco-friendly farmhouse sits on 3 acres overlooking the river. Every window features views of nature; river, bridge, trees and gardens.

Each room has 2 or 3 beds in it and you can bunk with someone rad and new or reserve a room with a friend! There is a walk in slate tiled shower room and a cast iron clawfoot tub/shower. The best part is a large cedar wood fired sauna! Comfy couches abound, huge bean bags, communal kitchen farm tables and a reading nook to fill all our needs.

Saturday will give you time to explore whatever you’d like! Enjoy the gardens and the river or head to the beach with friends.

create your own mala

Your Japa Mala

This retreat doesn’t end on Sunday. It continues far into the year with you. The mala you create will go home with you as a gentle reminder for your intention and as a beautiful tool that you can use in your own practice.

Don’t know your intention? Don’t worry! That is what our weekend together is for. Learning what you are seeking to add more of in your life. Perhaps it is creativity, perhaps it is movement or maybe it is 3 different things. Together we get to fine tune what each of us are needing and find inspiration with others who are seeking to do the same!

All materials will be provided and Chantal will share how to make them/be available to help all weekend!
