Kids Yoga Summer Camp
Hosted at GeerCrest Farm, a nature-based educational property that is 20minutes outside of Salem, Oregon.

Nature Camp Experience
Kids Yoga Summer Camp is a 3 day adventure for kids to let their creative minds loose out in nature. The groups are guided by Chantal Barton who is supported by three amazing counselors who all attended camp themselves when they were younger. Our team creates a warm and friendly space for kids to make new friends as they explore the land together. Camp is limited to 20 kiddos so that maximum community connection can happen.
Each day of camp is woven together with art, play, guided movement and research based social/emotional health activities that help kids feel connected to themselves and to community. The most beautiful part of camp is the opportunity to simply play outside on a farm with gentle older sheep and ducks floating in the pond. Joyful core memories are made here and we cant wait for you to hear all about it on the drive home each day.
Movement
Playful movement classes at the beginning of the day that are taught in an imaginative storytelling format. A fun way to increase coordination, body positivity, and exercise attention span.
Arts & Crafts
Explore nature-based art projects that are threaded with little practices to support social/emotional well-being and a connection to the land.
Creative Play
Running wild outside is one of the most beautiful parts of childhood. At camp they get the chance to stimulate their imagination of through nature filled free time as they create community with new friends.
Camp Logistics
LOCATION: GeerCrest Farm - 12390 Sunnyview Rd NE, Salem, OR 97317
CAMPER AGES: This is up to parent discernment. Camp is designed for ages 6-12.
DATES/TIME: There are two camps this year. June 12th-14th and June 18th-20. Camp runs from 9am to 4pm each day.
COST: $275 per kiddo (Please email me if finances are limited. I believe all children should have access to this opportunity.)

Chantal Barton 'Sasquatch'
Yoga Camp Creator - Yoga Instructor - Head Camp Counselor
The joy of nature based play and the impact it had on my childhood was the inspiration for creating Kids Yoga Summer Camp. I have been hosting these camps since 2015 and they are the highlight of my summer! I lead a wonderful small team of people that all attended Kids Yoga Camps in their younger years and it inspired them to return as camp counselors.
I am certified through Dr. Amy King in a social emotional health practice called “Cards for Connection”, certified in Imagination Kids Yoga, a licensed 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher, and a teacher for the Salem Keizer School District.

Peyton Wilson 'Pancake'
Lead Camp Counselor
Peyton has been a camp counselor for the past 4 years. She brings the element of music to camp with her guitar and the kids adore singing with her. Her big heart creates a space where kids feel relaxed and supported. She is in her junior year of high school now!

Nora Davis 'Manatee’
Camp Counselor
Nora is known at yoga camp as “Manatee” and she about to graduate from college! Her gentle spirit and observant nature shines in the way she helps kiddos create community and make new friends at camp. Parents are bound to hear stories of how much the kiddos love her and her support around arts/crafts.

Leanna Cristobal
CAMP COUNSELOR
Leanna has attended Kids Yoga Summer Camp since she was 7 years old. If there was three camps in one summer, she was at every single one. The past two years she became a huge support as she is amazing with the youngest of our yogi campers. This is her first year with the official title of camp counselor as she is now 15 years old. We are so excited to have her join our team this year and look forward to discovering her camp counselor nickname.
